Baseline Animal Rehabilitation Center (BARC) is partnered with Caring Hearts Animal Clinic on Baseline Road. We specialize in canine physiotherapy, where our goal is to work with, rehabilitate, and return your pet to a more normal daily routine. Physical rehabilitation will help to restore joints range of motion and strengthening while decreasing pain.
Canine physical rehabilitation uses adaptive human physical therapy techniques to improve functionality of muscles and joints, reduce pain, and promote a more rapid recovery from surgery and injuries. Physical rehabilitation also aids in recovering from degenerative diseases, age-related diseases, as well as obesity.
Physical therapy starts with a thorough initial consult, followed by a evaluation to determine the diagnosis, prognosis, and possible intervention. A customized therapy plan is then developed to address the individual needs of your pet.

The Rehab
Process
Physical rehabilitation is the science of movement; its goal is to maximize the ability of the individual to move around its environment and to be able to perform daily activities. Daily activities for our pets, typically consist of running, playing, walking, grooming, jumping, or even specific jobs for working and sporting dogs. Their daily activities can become quite challenging due to an injury or surgery, age and even obesity.
Our Canine Physical Rehabilitation program uses a combination and variety of treatments, exercises and modalities to work towards your pet's individual goals. We utilize the most current veterinary rehabilitation therapy equipment and treatments that have been scientifically proven, not only in humans but also in animals such as:
Electrical stimulation (Neuromuscular electrical stimulation and Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation)
Manual therapy (massage, Stretching, ROM and joint mobilization)
Pulse electromagnetic field therapy
Stem cell therapy
Assistive devices including slings, harnesses and carts
Underwater treadmill & Land Treadmill
Therapeutic ultrasound
Therapeutic exercises (Proprioception and Balance Exercise, gait training, Strengthening, core strengthening, coordination exercises)
